Fluffy Mail from Muff Fluff

Muff Fluff, is a cloth sanitary pad business based in London, UK and run by a lovely lady named Kelly Fowler.

I was initially sceptical about ordering from a Facebook seller, but a friend of mine had been using cloth for a couple of years, since having her first child and she reassured me that everyone she had ordered from had been (thus far) legit and fantastic during the ordering process. I was unsure about how this process worked or how reliable the sellers would be. I couldn’t have been more wrong.

On the particular night that I decided to have a nosey on Kelly’s site, she had just posted some pictures of some cotton printed Disney Villain fabric and was asking anyone if they would be interesting in a custom order using this fabric. Now, anyone who knows me, knows I am a big Big BIG fan of all things Disney. I decided that it was a sign, it was an omen, it was God himself telling me – “Aisha, you need this print and these pads in your life!”.

I commented on the pictures as a way of contacting Kelly, to find out how I would go about ordering- said Disney villain prints via Facebook, explaining that I am still a fairly new advocate of cloth sanitary pads. She answered me instantly, saying that she would send me a private message on Facebook. Great I thought. Then I waited and waited and kept looking, yet couldn’t see this message I was supposed to receive. My initial scepticism was beginning to return. Kelly then commented on the prints page again saying she’d messaged me and was I still interested. Yes! (I thought) of course I’m still interested, but this message is lost in cyber space. Check you filtered and junk inboxes she coaxed. Ah, yes-eureka moment. Facebook and its stupid automatic spamming of people it thinks you do not wish to speak to. Voila! There was said message from the wonderful Kelly. My scepticism once again vanished.

Kelly currently makes her pads in two styles. The first I would describe as a diamond shape, the other a pointy triangle. I went for the latter option. She explained that there was a turnaround of 3 weeks. Great I thought, they should arrive just as I start my next period. They came a lot sooner – 2 weeks. I ordered them on the 22nd May, they arrived on the 2nd June. Just 2 weeks from the date I ordered them.I was so happy. The great thing I loved when I saw the parcel was that I knew instantly what it was, and who it was from as she incorporated a sticker saying “Muff Fluff Post” on the front -nice touch I thought. They also had care instructions and an absorbency guide too. Another lovely touch was the candle melt, which smells divine and I cannot wait to burn it.

My initial thoughts of these pads is that they are so thin. Whilst I do like my Cheeky Wipes and PSP, I find the regulars to be a little on the thicker side, (especially the minky). Yet the cotton pads are uber thin and the stitching is great. I am looking forward to trialling them now that my period has decided to come a week early. They will however, be ideal to wear during my holiday in Slovakia (on holiday at the time of posting) as they will likely not feel as warm as minky in the warm Slovakian sunshine. Once, I’ve trialled them a review -like always- will shortly follow.

Take a look at my pads below. Have you used Muff Fluff? Post your custom orders from Kelly below, tell me why you like them.
